About myself...
The ocean has always been a large part of my life, influencing me to attend UCSB. In Santa Barbara, I began the long road to becoming a doctor (like half the student population) but eventually realized that I was much more interested in the surrounding environment. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in the field of Zoology, with an emphasis in Marine Biology. Following school, I had several different postitions in the field of Marine Biology: diver, aquarist, educator... From my experience as a marine science educator, I realized the importance of showing others why I love biology. So I bid my farewell to the life as a marine biology researcher with a journey to study the population fluctuations of Antarctic Krill (E. superba) off the coast of Antarctica. Months later, when I returned, I began the process of becoming a teacher at UCI. Now here I am, talking about protein synthesis and the eckman spiral...
