–Rick Brail Teaching and Coaching Experience 10 Years Tesoro High School 2 Years Aliso Niguel High School and 4 Years Dana Hills High School Playing Experience 3 Sport Letterman –San Clemente High School 1990 Saddleback College 1992 University of California –Davis 1994 This is Coach Brail’s 10th year as the Titan’s Head Varsity Coach. Rick is originally from San Clemente and chooses to reside there today. He teaches both US History and American Government at Tesoro High School. After a successful playing career, Coach Brail began coaching at Aliso Niguel High School from 1994-1998 and at Dana Hills High School from 1999-2000. As an assistant coach, he was a part of 2 League Championships and 5 Playoff teams over 6 years. As a teacher and a coach, Coach Brail was given the honor of opening up a new school and building the baseball program. Since 2001, the school and the baseball program has had unprecedented success. In the school’s 6 years of varsity baseball, the Titans have 2 League Championships, 6 Playoff Appearances, 1 CIF Finalist, a #2 ranking in all of Orange County at the end of the 2005 season, 4 top 10 finishes, and an Academic CIF –SS award for one of the highest overall team GPA’s in 2005. Tesoro Baseball has always tried to live up to the highest of standards and excel on and off the field. Coach Brail is most proud of his former players who are attending college and continuing their playing careers. Of the 75+ players who have graduated through our baseball program: 3 are playing professional baseball and many are playing at the college level. Coach Brail holds a AA from Saddleback College, a BA from UC Davis, and a Master’s Degree from Cal State San Bernardino. Rick and his wife of 15 years Deonna, have 3 children (Riley 12, Trenton 10, and Jordan 8).
