I have been teaching in Capistrano Unified School District for twenty years.  I began teaching at Newhart Middle School and then several years later opened Las Flores Middle School.  I also opened Tesoro High School and began teaching AP European History and then later added AP Art History to my teaching repetoire.  I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as a history major and then went on to earn my Masters in History at Cal State Fullerton in Early Modern European History and 20th Century American History.  I have received two Fulbright Awards to study in Japan and later Argentina and Uruguay and have won two National Endowment for the Humanities grants to study the Industrial Revolution in England and to study the Miracles of 1989, the Fall of Communism in Washington DC two summers ago at George Mason University.  Through the Goethe Institute this last summer I traveled and studied in Germany visiting Berlin, Freiburg and Frankfurt.
