ROP FALL Semester 2014

Fall enrollment has begun for Tesoro high school.

If you are interested in enrolling in a ROP class come to the Career Center and see Mrs. Marquez to complete an enrollment form.  Students must enroll with Mrs. Marquez to be enrolled in an ROP class.  High school students age 16 years and older are able to enroll in ROP classes.  Sophomores may enroll in ROP classes here on campus.  Space is limited for some ROP classes so students are encouraged to register as early as possible.  You can log on to the ROP web site to view ROP classes


ROP classes offered on campus...


Animal Health Care - offered 3 different periods 3rd, 4th, and 5th period.

Kinesiology - offered 2 period

Small Business Management - offered 1st period. 

Sports Medicine IA  - offered zero and 1st period.

The Career Center is open daily  from 7:15 - 3:15pm -  Monday thru Friday (closed 1-2/lunch)




Work Permits for the new school year 2013 -2014

Did you know a new work permit must be completed by a working student every NEW school year until you turn 18 years of age?  Please down load the work permit or pick one up in the Career Center.

Have the employer complete their section of the work permit application, then have one parent or guardian complete their portion on the application.  Please make sure to include a complete Social Security Number on the application, which is required.

Once the work permit application is completed hand in to the Mrs. Marquez in Career Center.  If you turn in the applicaiton before 8:30am you are able to pick up the work permit during lunch the same day. If you hand in the work permit application after 8:30am you are able to pick up the next day during lunch.

Stop by the Career Center and check out the job board.  And remember the work permit...which can be down loaded from this website or stop by the Career Center to pick one up. Don't permits expire every school year and they must be renewed the first week of the new school year.
