Message from the Principal

August 2015

Dear Tesoro Titans, Staff, & Community,

It’s hard to believe that the first week of school has ended and the calendar still reads August! The opening of the 2015-16 school year has been remarkably smooth and there has been positive energy across the campus. As I’ve visited our classrooms this week I have seen our students engaged  in learning and our phenomenal teachers doing simply amazing things. I am confident that all of our students will have a positive and productive school year.

Tesoro has many unique programs and activities to get involved in. I encourage all students to take advantage of the opportunities that are available—from attending school events to participating in the myriad of available activities. Students will be able to attend Club Rush on September 24th and 25th to learn about the 80+ clubs that are offered at Tesoro. Our first home football game of the year is tonight, August 28th, versus Edison High School and should be a great battle between two of Orange County’s top 10 teams. The Welcome Back to School Dance immediately follows the game.

A smooth school opening takes the efforts of a lot of people and would be impossible without their hard work. I would like to thank our PTSA Parents and ourASB/IMPACT Students who all volunteered their time to help create a nearly flawless registration process. I would also like to thank our guidance and office staff for their hard work and dedication in making sure we were ready to go on Day 1.

I am thrilled and excited to be serving as the new Principal of Tesoro and am looking forward to building on the proud traditions and excellence that make our school one of the finest in the state. I want to thank our entire school community for your continued support and I look forward to working with you this school year.
